Innovation Manager

Search, Evaluation and In-licensing/Oncology Global Portfolio

Location: remote, Europe, UK

 

As a key player in the company’s strategic expansion into oncology, you will lead efforts to identify, evaluate, and secure groundbreaking licensing opportunities worldwide. This pivotal role requires a unique combination of scientific expertise (PhD) and business acumen to advance drug development and shape the future of oncology care.

Duties

·       Participate in the evaluation of preclinical and clinical oncology assets, assessing scientific, clinical, and business potential and risks.

·       Manage cross-functional evaluations of oncology technologies, supporting comprehensive due diligence processes.

·       Prepare and present findings to cross-functional teams and senior leadership, leveraging strong communication and presentation skills.

·       Contribute to the strategic development of the oncology pipeline with valuable clinical and medical insights.

·       Represent the company at key scientific and partnering events, identifying opportunities and advocating for the organization’s goals.

·       Ensure all activities align with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Required skills
  • PhD in Life Sciences, preferably in oncology or a related field (postdoctoral experience is an advantage).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical industry (search and evaluation experience preferred) or at least 5 years of experience in clinical/R&D/Medical Affairs roles.
  • Strong scientific background in oncology with deep knowledge of current and future oncology trends.
  • Proven ability to analyse scientific data, write comprehensive reports, and synthesise insights from diverse sources.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written) with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team-oriented, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional groups.
  • Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving abilities; capable of driving projects independently.
  • Comfortable presenting complex information to senior executives and cross-functional teams.
