We are thrilled to announce a unique position for a Solutions Architect in a dynamic technology company
We are retained by a global leader in R and Shiny technology to find a professional who will bridge customer challenges in Life Sciences with engineering and solution delivery contributing to projects that have real impact and purpose in the biopharmaceutical sector.

This role has been created in response to the rapidly growing volume and complexity of data generated throughout drug discovery and clinical development. It requires a professional capable of translating these complex data challenges into effective, scalable solutions.

 

As a seasoned technology leader at the intersection of data, AI, and life sciences, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering scalable, compliant, and high-value digital solutions for global clients across the healthcare and biotech ecosystem. Acting as a trusted advisor and thought partner, this role bridges technical excellence with strategic client engagement - translating complex scientific and business needs into innovative architectures that drive measurable outcomes. 

Combining deep domain understanding with hands-on expertise in data analytics, visualization, and system integration, you will ensure that each project not only meets but elevates the client’s operational and research goals that will advance clinical research and improve patient outcomes.

 

Duties

Key responsibilities:

  • Support sales teams by defining technical solutions and translating client requirements into architecture concepts, clear proposals, and presentations to secure projects.
  • Collaborate with engineering and delivery teams to design and present innovative solutions in data and AIthat fit needs of clients from the life science area (covering all stages of drug discovery and development, particularly clinical trials). 
  • Build custom tools, automation scripts, and apps (mainly in R and SAS) to speed up delivery and improve quality.
  • Assist high-profilepharma clients with regulatory submissions (FDA, EMA, PMDA) using CDISC standards such as SDTM, ADaM, and define.xml and act as the main technical contact.
  • Represent the company externally at client meetings, events, and conferences.

 

Required skills

Key requirements:

  • Education in biostatistics, statistical programming / IT engineering. Bachelor’s or master’s degree or relevant courses in life science would be an advantage. 
  • Hands-on experience in developing analytical and visualization tools that support research and development workflows - practical programming experience with R (Shiny, Tidyverse, reporting tools) and SAS (Base, Macro, Graph).
  • Leadership experience in architecting customer-oriented solutions, including project scoping and proposal, as well as overseeing engineering and delivery teams.
  • Strong technical and domain knowledge in Life Sciences, combining expertise in data management, analytics, and software architecture.
  • Familiarity with all phases of drug discovery and clinical drug development. Deep knowledge of clinical data workflows and submission requirements (ISS/ISE, CDISC standards).
  • Good understanding of AI solutions and ability to implement them in the Client’s software solutions landscape.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in English (excellent scientific and business vocabulary).
