Chief Revenue Officer/PharmaTech

Location: remote, Europe

 

We are thrilled to announce a unique position for a seasoned business leader to become the Chief Revenue Officer of a dynamic technology company. We are retained by a rapidly growing company looking for an experienced and effective individual to lead all revenue-generating activities of the company and help the business reach its next growth phase.

As Chief Revenue Officer, you will work in close partnership with a highly skilled technology leadership team to design and execute a comprehensive commercial growth strategy. Serving global pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients, our client delivers advanced, technology-driven services that enable innovation and accelerate progress across the life sciences sector.

This appointment represents a rare mandate for a proven executive to assume full ownership of the company’s commercial agenda and to lead the next phase of sustainable expansion.

The Chief Revenue Officer will carry strategic responsibility for all revenue-generating functions, including:

·       Business Development & Sales – defining and executing strategies to expand market presence and secure enduring client partnerships.

·       Marketing & Positioning – elevating the brand’s presence and ensuring its resonance with the evolving needs of pharma and biotech clients.

·       Strategic Partnerships – cultivating alliances that unlock new avenues for growth and reinforce long-term value creation.

This is a mission-critical leadership position, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, and central to shaping the company’s commercial direction and market trajectory at a pivotal stage of growth.


Duties
  • Create and execute a strategy to achieve the revenue growth target, increasing the profitability and gross margins.
  • Build and scale outbound sales processes and strategy, develop repeatable lead generation processes and build active sales in the pharma/life science sector, with a special focus on clinical research and services.
  • Oversee the entire revenue-generating structure, which includes sales, marketing, account management and partnerships. Improve planning, execution, and leadership capacity in the team. Manage and grow the team, offering mentorship to employees.
  • Optimise all processes and manage all teams within the revenue-generating structure – lead and manage the sales, account management, marketing and partnerships structures existing in the company.

  • Develop and improve all marketing efforts. Develop strategies to deepen the relationships with key accounts, grow the revenue from the existing client base.

  • Orchestrate partnerships - systematise and develop a strategy for successfully acquiring new partnerships.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners and stakeholders, so they translate to growth opportunities. Monitor the industry trends and customer preferences to identify growth opportunities.
Required skills
  • Proven success in senior leadership roles (CRO, SVP, or equivalent) with responsibility for scaling B2B revenue in the technology sector, preferably working in companies delivering services to life science customers.
  • Deep experience in technology consulting, enterprise sales, or professional services, most preferably in open source. Familiarity with data science, enterprise analytics, and regulatory technology ecosystems.
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., GxP, FDA, EMA) relevant to pharmaceutical R&D.
  • Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences sectors.
  • Experience in scaling businesses globally, including new market entry and international operations.
  • Strong and documented leadership experience is a must.
  • Strategic mindset with strong business acumen and analytical capabilities.
  • Outstanding communication and influencing skills, particularly at the C-suite and board levels.
  • Willingness and availability for frequent and lengthy business travels, especially to the USA.
